Greetings, fellow citizens

We are back in Newfane so hopefully I can post without the darn internet connection crashing 5 times....aaaarrrggghhh.
Last Sunday we were in Mass. visiting Old Sturbridge Village. Late 1800's, live interpreters, lots of fun. They also had a huge refurbished tavern which did Sunday brunch. We partook. Awesome is too mild a word for it.
Back to the farm for Sunday dinner and back to the old routine on Monday. We are becoming experts at feeding sheep and pigs and setting up portable electric fencing. We moved 7 steers on Monday to new pasture and that was fun. The heat here is incredible. At the end of our 5 hour shift it feels like we're swimming through heat and humidity. There's a breeze and we have industrial bug spray so we're not getting bitten too badly. Tomorrow we're taking a small side trip to Grafton, Vermont, home of the Grafton Cheese company (yes I know, no cheese allowed on the Paleo diet) but we can watch it being made! The whole village has been purchased by the Wyndham Corporation and all the houses are parts of the Inn. It is beautiful, quaint and typically New England....with a slight taint of Stepford Wives about it. Very pastoral, lots of stone walls and sheep in green pasture. If we don't blog again you'll know we've been assimilated.
Saturday we take a lesiurely drive east to Brunswick Maine which we will call home for a week.
