Back home - now the fun starts

What an awesome two day road trip with Howard. Wednesday we left St. Andrew's around 8:30 a.m. and as soon as we hit the border, turned the clock back an hour. By the time we arrived in Cowansville, Quebec around 5pm we had been in New Brunswick, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Quebec. Saw some gorgeous, gorgeous scenery. Look up The Balsams Resort in Dixville Notch. Beautiful forests in NH and Vermont. This was my first look at the Eastern Townships of Quebec - dairy capital of Canada, I think. It was a bit like the Calgary foothills only a lot greener and prettier. Howard proved to be a very fun and interesting travelling companion.
Our b&b host Sophie was gracious and funny. The b&b was an old farmhouse built in 1865 and very loving restored and decorated with beautiful antiques and artwork. It was super clean and the breakfast was beyond.
Now the fun starts. Looks like the cupboards are bare, the basement carpet seems to have seen the worst of it from the pets so that will have to be steam cleaned, the plants look a little worse for wear but other than that!
Guess tomorrow is going to be a full work day.
